Baker Donelson's Princeton office is one of two New Jersey locations launched in 2025 as part of a substantial expansion of the Firm's geographic footprint into the Northeast. Our Princeton attorneys include nationally recognized litigators who bring tremendous strength in high-stakes matters, building on the depth of Baker Donelson's national commercial litigation practice. The Princeton office also includes leading real estate attorneys whose wealth of experience covers the representation of borrowers in all types of financing transactions; the representation of buyers, sellers, lenders, developers, and borrowers in real estate transactions; and counseling emerging and established companies on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic alliances.

Experienced Litigation Paralegal - Any Office Location

Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell, & Berkowitz, P.C. has an immediate opening for an experienced Litigation Paralegal. This position may be based at any office location within the Firm's footprint. The position offers flexibility, including the opportunity to work remotely, with occasional travel to one of our offices required for training, trial preparation, and other in-person events.

Qualified candidates must possess a bachelor's degree and/or a paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program, along with a minimum of five years of litigation experience. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to work independently and will demonstrate strong experience in managing, organizing, and reviewing complex litigation documents, including proficiency in Relativity or similar document review platforms. Familiarity with collaboration and productivity tools such as Microsoft Teams and Asana is strongly preferred.

The Litigation Paralegal will provide comprehensive support to trial counsel across all stages of litigation, from initial investigation through trial and resolution. Responsibilities include drafting correspondence, pleadings, discovery materials, and other litigation-related documents; conducting thorough factual investigations; assisting attorneys in preparation for depositions, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trials; and providing direct support during trial proceedings.

Candidates should be proficient with electronic and paper filing procedures in both state and federal courts, possess a thorough working knowledge of relevant court rules, and be adept at navigating court websites and conducting effective legal research.

Strong organizational abilities, excellent interpersonal skills, and effective oral and written communication are critical to success in this role. The ability to efficiently manage multiple projects and priorities for different attorneys simultaneously is essential. Additionally, candidates must be willing to work overtime and travel for trials as required. Prior experience accurately recording billable hours is necessary.

IT Support Specialist - Princeton or Metropark (Iselin) New Jersey

Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, PC has an immediate opening in its Princeton or Metropark (Iselin) New Jersey offices for an IT Support Specialist (tiers 2/3). Candidates must be customer service oriented and proactive in anticipating and resolving issues while maximizing efficient use of computing resources.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as second level support.
  • Provide support for all applications and hardware.
  • Troubleshoot, analyze, research, and resolve issues for users locally and firm-wide.
  • Provide 'just in time' desk-side training to attorneys and staff.
  • Actively participate in and assist in the pilot of any hardware or application updates.
  • Provide support for meetings and video conferences.
  • Recognize sense of urgency and respond appropriately.
  • Communicate and provide appropriate progress and status as necessary to user and management.
  • Document, track, and monitor all issues to ensure a timely resolution.
  • Proactively, on a regular basis, tour all floors to be visible to users and during outage situations in need of assistance.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on one or more software applications.
  • Other responsibilities as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum of two years of user support or related experience. Law firm experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Office, Windows and other legal specific core applications.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills required to interact professionally with clients, lawyers, paraprofessionals, other staff members and outside vendors.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Technical certifications such as A+ and MCP a plus.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure, demanding, fast paced environment. Ability to work both in a team-based environment and independently.
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service at all times.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours.
  • Possible travel for rollouts and additional location support.
  • Ability to lift PC equipment and desktop printers if necessary.

This position has a salary range of $50,000-$70,000 depending upon experience.

Health Care Litigation Associate - Princeton (#804)

The Princeton office of Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, P.C. seeks a junior to mid-level associate with one to four years of litigation experience to join our Firm. While this role is in our Health Care Litigation Practice Group, the associate may participate in a range of commercial litigation, both related and unrelated to health care. Applicants who have excellent analytical and writing skills, as well as discovery and motion practice experience, are sought to participate as part of a commercial litigation team handling industry-shaping managed care disputes and a variety of other sophisticated commercial conflicts. A federal clerkship background will be given strong preference. This role offers the opportunity for meaningful involvement in ongoing, high exposure litigation cases.
