Scam Alert: Fraudulent Check Notification
It has come to our attention that Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz PC's name is being used by fraudsters in a fraudulent check scam. This scam appears to be targeting individuals who have listed items for sale on Craigslist who are receiving forged checks, allegedly from the firm.
Baker Donelson and its bankers are not issuing these checks, the "Baker Donelson" checks are forged, fraudulent and will not be honored by the firm's bank, and this scam is attempting to obtain money from you under false pretenses. Please do not do the following: (1) attempt to cash these fraudulent checks, (2) respond to the fraudsters, or (3) send money to anyone that you do not know.
