Overview

Each office and person at Baker Donelson has a strong commitment to giving back and making a difference through our Baker Donelson Cares initiative. Through our charitable initiatives, we support a range of causes that strengthen our communities and uplift those in need.

Since 2022, Baker Donelson Cares' focus has been on supporting the unhoused community with compassion, dignity, and tangible resources that make a lasting impact. We are committed to helping end homelessness and hunger through direct service, advocacy, and partnerships that drive sustainable change.

Both our attorneys and staff are actively engaged in a wide variety of causes and initiatives at all levels. As part of our ongoing commitment to community involvement, we offer eligible employees paid volunteer time each year to strengthen our community impact firsthand.

Our team brings experience from a broad range of international, federal, and state government roles, and many of us also serve on the boards of civic, charitable, religious, academic, and professional organizations.

I fundamentally believe that to whom much is given, much is required, and our ability to partner with these organizations exemplifies our deep commitment to serving in our communities.

Helping our partners in their work to change for the good the lives and worlds of individuals drives greater purpose and engagement for our colleagues and impact individuals in our communities.”

– Tim Lupinacci, Chairman and CEO, Baker Donelson

Our business is deeply connected to the communities we serve. A strong, vibrant community benefits everyone, and Baker Donelson remains committed to contributing to our communities' growth and well-being.

The Hub's work of engaging with and supporting every individual experiencing homelessness in Memphis depends on all of us showing up to do our best work for our guests. Baker Donelson, as a trusted local partner, shows up right alongside us by offering monthly pro bono legal services to our guests, collecting needed wish list items, coming out to share meals, and supporting daily operations through generous financial contributions.

[...] Baker Donelson continues to show up and listen to, advocate for, and on occasion show up in court with those in our community, that are experiencing the most brutal and evident form of poverty, homelessness
