Robert Johnson has more than 25 years of experience representing business clients in immigration matters.

Professional Biography


A member of the Firm's Global Immigration Group, Mr. Johnson represents U.S. and foreign-based multinational corporations in the hiring of foreign executives, managers and specialists and their transfer to the United States.

Mr. Johnson has extensive experience serving clients throughout the world in the arrangement of all types of business-based temporary and permanent immigration status. He offers strategic counsel on all aspects of business immigration, including labor certification PERM applications, immigrant visa petitions, consular processing and adjustment of status applications, reentry permits and naturalization applications. He also manages H-1B petitions, TNs, L-1s, E visas and O visas petitions. Mr. Johnson's Immigration practice focuses on counseling multinational corporations on immigration issues arising from corporate reorganizations, mergers and layoffs; managing PERM recruitment programs; immigrant visa petitions under the extraordinary ability, outstanding researcher, multinational manager and executive, and national interest waiver categories; as well as policy and procedures development. He is a frequent speaker on U.S. and international immigration rules, policies and procedures, and regularly appears before employers, investors, individuals, and other immigration lawyers.

Mr. Johnson has published numerous articles on a variety of business immigration topics and regularly conducts in-house Immigration training seminars. He lived and worked in Japan for two years and is conversationally fluent in Japanese.
