William counsels clients across the health care, telecommunications, construction, and energy sectors, advising companies and individuals on high-stakes issues involving fraud, regulatory compliance, and high-exposure commercial disputes. William has served as trial counsel in complex, multimillion-dollar civil jury cases defending clients on breach of contract claims, class action defense, and matters involving land use and antitrust violations, tort claims, and unfair trade practices. William regularly represents clients in federal and state investigations, including those led by the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), with a particular emphasis on health care fraud, False Claims Act matters, and anti-kickback allegations. He also assists clients with internal investigations related to embezzlement and corporate misconduct.
Prior to joining Baker Donelson, William worked in community engagement and development for a global Fortune 100 tech company. He went on to work in higher education administration for large public and private institutions. While at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, William served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Jay C. Zainey and the Honorable Janis van Meerveld, both of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana. He also served as an extern with the United States Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Louisiana and as a research fellow with the Louisiana Department of Health.
