Greggory Jacobs is an associate in Baker Donelson's Fort Lauderdale office and assists clients across a variety of industries in complex tort matters, including commercial litigation, product liability, construction defects, premises liability, professional liability, and insurance coverage matters. Mr. Jacobs represents clients in state and federal courts across Florida.

  • Representing a ship builder in a hearing loss case involving allegations of excessive noise levels in accommodation spaces in berthing areas.

  • Represented a hydrocollator manufacturer (medical heating unit) in product liability litigation involving claims of negligence and strict liability arising from the manufacture and design of the product. This representation involved counseling the client on an effective resolution of the matter and whether the alleged severe burns were caused by the subject product. The case ultimately resolved at a fraction of plaintiff's initial demand.

  • Currently represent a food manufacturer in a lawsuit involving claims that the food label was false or misleading and violated state deceptive trade practices act. This representation also involves evaluating whether the Food Drug and Cosmetics Act preempts the claims brought by the plaintiff in this matter.
