A former Special Assistant United States Attorney, Ms. Kenville focuses her practice on government investigations and enforcement actions, internal investigations, and white collar criminal prosecutions. Her litigation practice includes representing individuals and companies in both federal and state courts, with significant experience in defending False Claims Act litigation involving health care, government contracts, and federal loans such as the U.S. Small Business Administration's Paycheck Protection Program. In addition to government investigations, Ms. Kenville assists clients in a wide range of industries with internal workplace investigations and litigation matters, including employment defense and complex civil litigation matters.

From 2020 – 2022, Ms. Kenville served as a Special Assistant United States Attorney in the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Maryland in the Violent Crimes and Gangs Section. In this role, she investigated and prosecuted firearm and controlled dangerous substance offenses, including unlawful dealing in firearms, felon in possession of a firearm, Hobbs Act robbery, straw purchasing, and National Firearms Act violations.

Ms. Kenville previously practiced at Miles & Stockbridge, where she represented clients in commercial litigation matters in federal and state courts, including matters related to business and contract disputes and business tort claims. She also gained experience assisting government contractors and subcontractors with procurement-related disputes, including bid protests before the U.S. Government Accountability Office and appeals to the U.S. Court of Federal Claims and Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

Ms. Kenville served as a law clerk to the Honorable Richard D. Bennett with the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland.

  • Represented multiple health care providers and government contractors in responding to Civil Investigative Demands and other government inquiries, including conducting internal investigations and presenting findings to the government.

  • Represented a government contractor in parallel civil and criminal investigations involving alleged noncompliance with SBA 8(a) program regulations and requirements.

  • Defended government contractors in federal criminal cases involving charges of wire fraud and knowingly and willfully making false, fictitious, or fraudulent statements.

  • Obtained a favorable False Claims Act settlement for an entity that received loans under the Paycheck Protection Program.

  • Secured a declination from the United States in a False Claims Act matter against an entity that received Paycheck Protection Program loans.

  • Obtained reversals before the Small Business Administration's Office of Hearings and Appeals of final loan review decisions denying Paycheck Protection Program loan forgiveness, preventing the companies from having to return millions of dollars in previously approved loan funds.

  • Obtained judgment as a matter of law during trial in favor of a hospital in a lawsuit brought by a former resident of its residency program.

  • Represented health care systems in internal appeals challenging the termination of residents from residency programs.
