Abby Parker Nix is an associate in Baker Donelson's Nashville office and a member of the Advocacy Department.

Professional Biography


Ms. Nix assists clients in a variety of litigation matters and industries, including health care certificate of need, transportation, hospitality, employment, and general business litigation. From pre-suit investigations to trial or mediation, Ms. Nix works diligently to ensure her clients are prepared each step of the way. She has successfully dismissed claims and lawsuits against her clients, defended clients in depositions, reached settlement agreements, and assisted with trial. Ms. Nix prioritizes her clients' needs and works to instill the confidence needed to establish lasting, trusted relationships.

Prior to joining Baker Donelson as an associate, Ms. Nix studied journalism at Auburn University, and she interned with a local magazine and newspaper. Ms. Nix gained valuable experience writing, interviewing, and investigating, and she enjoys implementing these skills in her legal career today.

Ms. Nix also served as a pro bono fellow and summer associate for the Firm. In addition to continuing to serve multiple pro bono clients, she also volunteers at and coordinates the HELP clinic, a monthly free legal clinic, at Room in the Inn. During law school, Ms. Nix completed Rule 31 Family Mediation training and volunteered with the Community Mediation Center.

Ms. Nix is proficient in Spanish.
