The ADA's Interactive Process – Recent Developments and Best Practices for Employers

Webinar

Let's Chat! During our last Coffee Chat in 2025, we will discuss recent court decisions and best practices for engaging employees in the ADA's interactive process. Employers should be less concerned with determining whether an employee's impairment constitutes a disability and, instead, focus their efforts on determining whether a reasonable accommodation can be made so that the employee can perform their essential job functions. To make that determination, employers must engage in a robust "interactive process" and employees also must engage in that process.

Join us to discuss employers' obligations under the ADA, the components of the interactive process, employers' defenses – including an employee's failure to submit supporting medical documentation and best practices for handling accommodation requests.
