Recent Developments in Maryland, D.C., and Virginia Employment Laws


The 2023 Maryland legislative session ended on April 10, bringing new employment laws to employers with employees working in Maryland. Our May 18 Chat will focus on these recent developments, including comprehensive changes to Maryland's Time to Care Act. Like Maryland, Virginia's 2023 session ended recently and brings new laws to employers, including restrictions on non-disclosure agreements relating to claims of sexual harassment. We will also refresh participants on D.C.'s non-competition ban and its cannabis employment protection law.
