Kelly is a member of the Financial Services Litigation and Compliance Group and has experience handling a wide range of commercial litigation and business disputes in state and federal court.
Specifically, Kelly has represented financial institutions and businesses with commercial disputes and has defended them in consumer-related litigation, including class actions alleging federal law claims, such as violations of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), Electronic Fund Transfer Act (EFTA), and Magnuson Moss Warranty Act (MMWA). She also has experience with mortgage servicing, receivership, foreclosure-related claims, and land use matters.
In addition to her financial services practice, Kelly represents clients in a broad range of construction-related issues and litigation. Her work often involves commercial construction disputes concerning breach of contract, retainage issues, and lien claims, as well as the enforcement of creditors' rights, and post-judgment collection proceedings.
Prior to joining Baker Donelson, Kelly served as Assistant County Attorney in Memphis, Tennessee, where she researched complex legal issues, prepared pleadings, motions, and briefs for federal and state trial practice, and advised various Shelby County government boards.
