He routinely counsels clients on estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax planning, asset protection techniques, and business succession planning. Joseph drafts and implements sophisticated estate planning instruments, including revocable and irrevocable trusts, spousal lifetime access trusts (SLATs), charitable trusts, and irrevocable life insurance trusts.

In addition, Joseph advises clients on charitable giving strategies, trust modifications and decanting, and the preparation of federal estate and gift tax returns. He regularly assists fiduciaries and beneficiaries with the administration of both taxable and non-taxable estates and trusts, including probate matters, fiduciary accountings, and coordination with financial advisors, accountants, and other professionals.
