Jordan Savitz has extensive experience in working with businesses of all sizes, including multi-owner and family-owned businesses, on mergers and acquisitions, succession planning, general corporate governance, employment, and formation assistance.

Professional Biography


Jordan Savitz provides legal support to businesses throughout Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia, in all matters throughout the business life cycle. Mr. Savitz acts as outside general counsel for many clients, providing strategic advice and drafting services on various matters including, but not limited to, fiduciary duties, restrictive covenants, contract negotiation, operating and stockholder agreements, intellectual property rights, and license agreements. He is regularly called upon to draft, or review and negotiate, complex Master Service Agreements. In addition, Mr. Savitz advises businesses on complex succession planning strategies with internal and external targets.

Mr. Savitz also advises buyers and sellers of middle-market companies in stock, asset, and merger transactions, from pre-transaction planning – including non-disclosure agreements and letters of intent – through closing – including preparing and negotiating stock purchase agreements, asset purchase agreements, and ancillary documents.

Mr. Savitz is a trusted advisor to his clients and peers in the management of complex and sensitive disputes among owners, including dispute resolution and litigation support.

  • Represented the buyer in a multi-million dollar acquisition of the assets and certain specified liabilities of a regional catering company.

  • Represented an investment group in a multi-million dollar majority investment and takeover of a regional food/beverage manufacturing company.

  • Represented the owners of a consulting company in negotiation of the $32 million sale of stock to a private equity-backed group.

  • Represented a national insurance provider in the sale of its assets to a private equity backed purchaser for $140 million.

  • Represented a regional managed service provider in negotiation of the sale of certain assets for $4 million plus rollover equity.

  • Represented a pediatric dentist in negotiation of the sale of certain practice assets to a private equity backed purchaser.

  • Represented a regional pediatric urgent care facility with multiple locations in negotiation of the sale of certain assets to a private equity backed purchaser.
