Jeffrey M. Pomeroy Named Vice Chair of Baker Donelson's Real Estate Group

The law firm of Baker Donelson has named Jeffrey M. Pomeroy, a shareholder in the Birmingham office, as vice chair of the Firm's Real Estate Group.

In his vice chair role, Mr. Pomeroy will work with Real Estate Group Chair Denise W. Killebrew, also a shareholder in the Birmingham office, to oversee the management and strategy of Baker Donelson's national real estate practice. While serving in this leadership role, Mr. Pomeroy will maintain his legal practice.

Mr. Pomeroy focuses his practice on development, acquisition, disposition, leasing, management, and financing of commercial and mixed-use real estate projects. He has extensive retail, office, hospitality, multifamily, and mixed-use real estate experience. He regularly handles all phases of purchase, sale, lease, and loan transactions. He advises and assists clients with issues relating to the development, construction, financing, leasing, management, operation, and disposition of commercial real estate assets, including issues related to joint venture structure and formation, project entitlements, and development incentives.

Prior to joining Baker Donelson, Mr. Pomeroy was general counsel for a full-service real estate company that specializes in the development and operation for private and institutional investors of large-format lifestyle and mixed-use projects across the country. He is a graduate of the Cumberland School of Law and is recognized in The Best Lawyers in America®. A member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and the Urban Land Institute, Mr. Pomeroy has also served as president of the Alabama Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel and as vice chair of the City of Hoover, Alabama Industrial Development Board and as a member of the City of Hoover, Alabama Commercial Development Authority.
