Hannah McSween Cole, an attorney with extensive experience advising health care organizations on mergers and acquisitions, strategic transactions, and operational and compliance matters, has rejoined the national law firm Baker Donelson as of counsel in the Firm's Health Law Group.

Ms. Cole counsels hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, physician groups, specialty practices, and other health care organizations on a broad range of transactional, regulatory, and operational matters. Drawing on her experience as chief legal officer of one of Tennessee's largest independent physician groups, she provides clients with practical guidance informed by the legal, business, and operational realities facing health care providers.
Her practice includes advising clients on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, management services organization structures, value-based arrangements, and other strategic business transactions, as well as providing counsel on day-to-day operational and compliance issues. She regularly serves as a trusted advisor to executive leadership teams and boards navigating complex legal and business challenges.
Prior to rejoining Baker Donelson, Ms. Cole served as chief legal officer of a large physician organization, where she advised on a wide range of legal, compliance, governance, and business matters. Her experience provides valuable perspective for clients navigating growth initiatives, organizational transitions, and evolving regulatory requirements.

Ms. Cole earned her J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School and received her B.A. in English, summa cum laude, from Samford University. She has been recognized in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® in America for Mergers and Acquisitions and was selected to Mid-South Rising Stars in Business/Corporate.
