Emily Levy is a litigation attorney who advises clients on risk management for labor & employment matters and defends against claims concerning Title VII, the federal constitution, Maryland anti-discrimination statutes, breach of employment contracts, state wage and hour statutes, and civil rights through federal statutes. She represents employers, hospitals, multifamily housing management corporations, and ownership companies, among others. Emily has experience defending both single plaintiff and class action matters.
Emily regularly advocates for her clients in courtroom settings and has extensive experience litigating complex motions cases from complaint to verdict. Emily routinely defends clients in both federal and state courts and in front of federal and state agencies. She has co-chaired multiple jury trials and led bench trials in both Maryland and the District of Columbia. Emily also helps her clients navigate the litigation process before a complaint is filed through discovery and has significant experience preparing and defending her clients for depositions while taking depositions of both plaintiffs and expert witnesses. Emily further helps her clients attain the results they seek through the settlement process by positioning her cases advantageously. She has handled the alternative dispute resolution process of complex employment and construction matters in arbitration through the American Arbitration Association (AAA) and Judicial Arbitration and Mediation Services, Inc. (JAMS).
