Caroline Dean focuses her practice on litigation matters across various industries in both state and federal court. She assists with all aspects of litigation, including briefing for motions, managing discovery, conducting legal research, negotiating resolutions, and advocating at hearings.

Professional Biography


Caroline is an associate located in the Firm's Birmingham office and a member of the Advocacy Department. Her experience spans a range of practice areas, such as intellectual property, commercial litigation, contractual disputes, estate litigation, premises liability, and construction. Her writing, research, and advocacy skills have resulted in numerous favorable outcomes, including settlements, advantageous court rulings, and dismissals of claims against her clients.

During law school, Caroline worked as a summer associate for Baker Donelson and clerked for Chief Judge L. Scott Coogler of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama.

Before embarking on her legal career, Caroline served as a Fulbright Scholar in Ourense, Galicia, Spain. She worked as an English teaching assistant, preparing lesson plans and teaching English to elementary school students, while also serving as a cultural ambassador for the U.S. Department of State in the Ourense community.

  • Obtained a favorable settlement on behalf of a client in a case regarding a public nuisance claim.

  • Obtained a dismissal with prejudice of an ejectment claim brought against a pro bono client.
