Seasoned bankruptcy attorney Sean B. Davis has joined national law firm Baker Donelson as a shareholder in the Firm's Houston office.
Mr. Davis brings extensive experience representing lenders, vendors, and buyers in complex reorganization and bankruptcy proceedings. With a focus on commercial bankruptcy and restructuring matters, his work encompasses a range of industries, including construction, financial services, equipment and vehicle leasing and finance, food service, health care, livestock, manufacturing, maritime, oil and gas, and real estate.
Mr. Davis represents secured and unsecured creditors, debtor-in-possession (DIP) lenders, financial institutions, bondholders, noteholders, lessors, commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) servicers, purchasers, and trade creditors in foreclosure, workout, and insolvency matters, both out of court and before state, federal, and bankruptcy courts. He has been involved in numerous energy restructurings and regularly represents pre- and post-petition lenders in single-asset real estate and operating company bankruptcies, as well as related guarantor liability litigation. Mr. Davis also advises equipment lessors, vendors, and contractors in the reorganizations of construction and health care companies.

Mr. Davis previously practiced with Winstead PC and is licensed to practice in both Texas and New York. Prior to licensure, he served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Letitia Z. Paul of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas and the Honorable Terry Jennings of the Court of Appeals of Texas, First District.
