Baker Donelson has relocated its Baltimore office to the top four floors of 100 Light Street, reaffirming the Firm's long-term commitment to downtown Baltimore and creating a modern workspace designed to support collaboration, growth, and client service. The Firm signed a 15-year lease for floors 32 through 35 of the city's tallest office tower and will continue to maintain its Light of Baltimore incubator on the building's 23rd floor.
The new office was designed to reflect the way attorneys and professional staff work today, with an emphasis on collaboration, technology, flexibility, and connectivity. Created in partnership with Gensler, the space features expanded meeting areas, state-of-the-art technology, and a more communal layout intended to encourage interaction among colleagues and clients. The project was led by a Gensler team based in Baltimore, bringing a genuinely local design perspective to the space. Every attorney office is the same size, reinforcing a culture of accessibility and teamwork.
"We considered a number of options as we planned for the future of our Baltimore office, but we ultimately chose to remain at 100 Light because we believe in the future of downtown Baltimore," said Jennifer L. We are investing in a space that supports our people, our clients, and our long-term presence in Baltimore."
Baker Donelson, one of the Baltimore area's largest law firms, viewed the opportunity to move to the building's top floors as a meaningful investment in the city's Central Business District. The new space positions the office for future growth while offering panoramic views of Baltimore's skyline and harbor. The office includes 115 attorney offices and was designed to accommodate the Firm's anticipated growth in the years ahead.
A distinctive aspect of the design honors some of the building's best-known residents: the family of peregrine falcons that nest on the 33rd floor. Inspired by the birds, the Firm incorporated a dedicated Falcon Lounge into the office design. Rather than placing an attorney office adjacent to the nesting area, Baker Donelson created a shared gathering space featuring design elements inspired by falcon feathers and the natural setting outside the windows. The lounge provides a unique space for attorneys, staff, and clients while respecting the habitat of the falcons that have become a recognizable part of 100 Light Street.
The office also reflects Baker Donelson's connection to the Baltimore community through an art collection curated by Baltimore's own Galerie Myrtis, an emerging blue-chip gallery and art advisory. The collection features local artists, including Susan Goldman, Emma Childs, Loring Cornish, Kim Rice, Ainsley Burrows, and Arvay Adams, with pieces displayed throughout the space to showcase the city's creative talent and further root the new office in the character of downtown Baltimore. Other local touches to the new space include a living plant collection designed in partnership with Baltimore-based plant stylist Hilton Carter and conference rooms named for Baltimore City neighborhoods, with historical plaques celebrating the character and history of each community.
The relocation also enables Baker Donelson to continue its support of the Light of Baltimore incubator, a program established in 2022 after the Firm donated unused office space to help foster small business development and entrepreneurship in Baltimore. As part of the new lease arrangement, the incubator will remain on the 23rd floor of 100 Light Street, allowing the Firm to continue supporting economic development and emerging businesses throughout the region.

With nearly 120 employees, including more than 60 attorneys, the Baltimore office serves clients across a broad range of industries and legal needs and is part of Baker Donelson's national platform of more than 700 attorneys and public policy advisors.
