National law firm Baker Donelson has expanded its Health Care Litigation Group with the addition of Michael A. Brodlieb, an experienced litigator who represents health care clients in high-stakes civil, commercial, and employment disputes.
Mr. Brodlieb, who joins as of counsel, focuses his practice on complex commercial, trade secret, noncompete, and other litigation matters. He also counsels employers across multiple industries – including financial services, technology, and retail – on claims involving discrimination, retaliation, and other workplace allegations that carry significant legal and reputational exposure. Mr. Brodlieb is experienced in handling cases in federal and state courts, as well as in arbitration proceedings before the American Arbitration Association (AAA), and his background includes defending clients in white collar and regulatory matters such as investigations involving securities and government contracting.
"Michael's broad litigation background, particularly his work representing health care clients in complex disputes, aligns with our team's commitment to providing strategic, efficient, and results-driven counsel," said Craig Creighton Conley, chair of Baker Donelson's Health Care Litigation Group. "His experience in both civil and white collar matters further enhances our ability to serve clients facing multifaceted legal challenges."
Prior to joining Baker Donelson, Mr. Brodlieb practiced at several New York-based law firms, where he handled commercial disputes and white collar criminal matters. He previously served as a law clerk to the Honorable Raymond J. Dearie of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
Mr. Brodlieb received his B.A. from Dartmouth College and earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Brooklyn Law School, where he was editor-in-chief of the Law Review. He is a member of the New York City Bar Association and its Commercial Law & Uniform State Laws Committee. He has been selected to New York Rising Stars by Super Lawyers for Business Litigation (2023 – 2025) and is listed in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® in America for Appellate Practice (2026) and Criminal Defense: White Collar (2024 – 2026).
