Alexis "Alex" del Rio concentrates her practice in consumer and commercial financial services litigation.

Professional Biography


Alex is a member of the Financial Services Litigation and Compliance Group, where she primarily defends clients in the financial services industry in a wide variety of matters including financial services litigation, commercial litigation, real estate litigation, and other complex litigation matters.

As an experienced litigator, Alex regularly defends clients against claims of violations of federal and state consumer protection regulations, including violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), and Truth in Lending Act (TILA).

Alex is fluent in Spanish and was born and raised in McAllen, Texas. 

  • Defending a national leader in ambulatory surgical care against a former physician's allegations related to rights and duties under medical bylaws and security interest agreement during an investigation by the medical board. Allegations also involved reporting requirements to the National Practitioners Data Bank; breaches of contract, the duty of good faith and fair dealing, and fiduciary duty; fraud under the Texas Securities Act; and defamation.
