Jamie McLemore, a paralegal in the New Orleans office, concentrates in the area of transportation, specifically for a railroad client. Ms. McLemore has been a paralegal since 1997 and has worked for William H. Howard III, Esq. and Alissa J. Allison, Esq. for her entire paralegal career. She joined the Baker Donelson New Orleans office in January 2005. Her job duties consist of interacting with the railroad on a daily basis for the purposes of coordinating site inspections, calling out witnesses for depositions and setting discovery conferences for the purposes of drafting discovery requests and responses. Responsibilities include managing discovery for all railroad cases, and more specifically gathering medical, employment, criminal and civil records for a variety of cases ranging from crossing accidents, FELA claims, asbestos exposure claims, EEOC claims and a host of other types of cases particular to the railroad industry. Other responsibilities include drafting basic pleadings and motions, conducting legal research and summarizing medical records. Ms. McLemore's past experience includes class action, products liability, insurance defense, maritime, personal injury and toxic torts. She was involved in one of the largest groundwater contamination cases in the country.
