Mr. Nettles has experience representing public and private owners and developers, general contractors, and subcontractors. He has advised and represented construction industry entities in all aspects of claim and dispute resolution on a regional and national basis, including construction contract negotiation and drafting, pre-claim counseling, and claim defense and prosecution in litigation and arbitration. He has litigated and arbitrated numerous complex construction claims related to the recovery of contract balances following termination events and prosecuted and defended claims for defective deficient work, as well as schedule-related claims, including claims for, and defense of, liquidated damages arising out of delay, disruption, hinderance, stacking, and acceleration.
Mr. Nettles has presented at the ABA Construction Industry Forum and the Alabama Construction Industry Symposium. He is also a Charter Fellow of the Construction Lawyers Society of America, listed in Chambers USA as a leading construction lawyer, and has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America® for Construction Law since 2013 and Litigation – Construction since 2012.
