Data privacy and cybersecurity issues have been one of the most significant challenges facing the financial industry over the last several years. That trend will continue into 2024 on multiple fronts. Financial institutions face new challenges with additional state privacy laws, enhanced security regulations, and heightened scrutiny from state, federal, and industry regulators. Meanwhile, the relentless barrage of cyberattacks shows no signs of letting up. New threat actor groups are emerging and the types of attacks continue to evolve at a rapid pace.
