Baker Donelson's Sara M. Turner has been elected as a National Director for the DRI's Board of Directors. The DRI is the leading organization of defense attorneys and in-house counsel.
Ms. Turner is a shareholder in Baker Donelson's Birmingham office and chair of the Firm's Hospitality Industry Service Team. Her trial experience includes product liability, drug and medical device, hospitality, timeshare, complex commercial litigation, class action and franchise claims. She regularly serves as outside general counsel and coordinates her clients' defense of claims nationwide. Ms. Turner has been recognized in Mid-South Super Lawyers since 2011 and was named among the publication's top 50 female attorneys in the Mid-South in 2018 and 2019. She was also recently named to the 2020 Birmingham Business Journal's "Women to Watch" list.
Founded in 1960, the DRI is dedicated to providing access to resources for attorneys who strive to provide high-quality, balanced and excellent service to their clients and corporations. Ms. Turner will serve a three-year term as one of twelve national directors on the DRI's board of directors. An active member of the organization, Ms. Turner recently served as chair and co-chair of the Retail and Hospitality Committee and has held numerous other leadership roles in several DRI committees.
