Sam Carey is an associate in the Firm's Washington, D.C., office and a member of the Advocacy Department.

Sam represents businesses in state and federal courts and in arbitration proceedings, with experience in the health care, hospitality, transportation, financial services, and technology industries. His practice includes commercial contract disputes, health care litigation, franchisor and corporate liability matters, and a range of other business disputes. He regularly briefs and argues motions, manages discovery, negotiates settlements, and takes depositions.

Prior to joining Baker Donelson, Sam gained experience in judicial and legislative settings, including serving as a judicial intern to the Honorable Thomas L. Parker of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Tennessee and working in the office of U.S. Representative Jim Cooper.
