Jennifer Harley is a highly qualified and experienced litigator with the ability to recognize and understand complex factual and legal issues in commercial and business litigation matters.

Professional Biography


Ms. Harley is a member of the Baker Donelson Complex Litigation and Class Actions Group who represents clients in matters involving commercial and business litigation.

Prior to joining Baker Donelson, Ms. Harley served as the assistant general counsel for an insurance company, where she handled first-party insurance lawsuits. Her experience includes litigating lawsuits from inception through final resolution, including settlement and jury trial, while collaborating with colleagues and client representatives to accomplish litigation objectives.

Ms. Harley was the supervising attorney for nearly a decade at the Legal Aid Service of Broward County in Florida, where she served as Consumer Law Unit team leader and first-chair trial attorney. She managed a complex litigation caseload and represented clients, including seniors and veterans, in mortgage litigation, foreclosures, and other housing-related matters. Ms. Harley has also served as in-house litigation counsel for a national law firm, where she resolved complex legal issues in multi-party lawsuits and successfully represented financial institutions, title insurance companies, and homeowners.
