David is a shareholder in Baker Donelson's Fort Lauderdale office. He represents a broad range of private and institutional clients in state and federal courts and has tried cases throughout Florida, including serving as first chair in jury trials to verdict. His practice focuses on property and general liability litigation, where he defends insurers and insureds through all phases of the claims and litigation process and advises clients on coverage and subrogation matters. He also has experience in construction litigation, representing owners and contractors. Most recently, he secured two defense verdicts, one for an insurance carrier and another for a policyholder in a third-party liability matter.
David also regularly represents financial institutions in consumer protection matters and prosecutes complex commercial litigation, as well as foreclosures and evictions. Clients rely on him as a trusted advisor in both pre-suit and post-suit matters, and he has served as an expert witness in multiple capacities. Known for his strategic and practical approach, David develops creative, cost-effective solutions that help clients mitigate risk, achieve business objectives, and maximize recovery.
In addition, David has represented insurance underwriters, third-party administrators, nonprofit boards, adjusters, insureds, wholesale brokers, medical providers and payors, product manufacturers, motor carriers, transportation-related companies, property and business owners, and other professionals in all phases of commercial and tort litigation.
