Baker Donelson Continues Growth of Real Estate Practice in Nashville with Addition of Shareholder Rick Pensinger

Richard L. "Rick" Pensinger, a real estate attorney with significant experience in the wireless telecommunications industry, has joined the national law firm Baker Donelson as a shareholder in the Firm's Nashville office. Mr. Pensinger's addition expands the Firm's national real estate team and builds on its wireless infrastructure practice, which is one of the largest in the country.

Mr. Pensinger represents clients in the acquisition, sale, and leasing of commercial real estate, with particular emphasis on the wireless telecommunications industry. For more than 25 years, he has represented a leading wireless telecommunications provider in the development, leasing, acquisition, and disposition of network real estate assets throughout the United States. His experience includes advising on complex, large-scale wireless market acquisitions and negotiating distributed antenna system (DAS) agreements for major public venues.

J. Allen Roberts, managing shareholder of Baker Donelson's Nashville office, said, "We are excited to welcome Rick back to Baker Donelson. His longstanding representation of clients in the wireless telecommunications industry is a strong complement to the extensive work our team already handles and allows us to expand existing client relationships. He is an outstanding addition not only to Baker Donelson's wireless group but also displays the growing scope of our real estate practice in Nashville."

Mr. Pensinger, who joins from the firm K&L Gates, was previously with Baker Donelson and is the second attorney to rejoin the Firm's Real Estate Group in the Nashville office. In January, Christian Schütz, a shareholder focused on commercial real estate, finance, cross-border transactions, and economic development, also rejoined Baker Donelson from K&L Gates. As a member of the Firm's wireless and telecommunications team, Mr. Pensinger joins a group of more than 35 lawyers and professionals who represent wireless carriers and tower companies in a broad array of legal and regulatory issues specific to the industry.

"With a wireless and telecommunications practice that is among the largest in the U.S., Baker Donelson gives me the ability to take my client service capabilities to the next level because I am backed by a team that has some of the most extensive and wide-ranging industry depth in the country," said Mr. Pensinger. "Being part of a team that brings that caliber of industry knowledge is a tremendous advantage for my clients and me."

Mr. Pensinger is a graduate of Vanderbilt Law School and received his B.A. from Duke University. He is recognized in The Best Lawyers in America® in Real Estate Law (2021 – 2026).
