Aaron Garnett is an associate in the Firm's Orlando office who represents clients in complex commercial litigation.

Professional Biography


Mr. Garnett represents clients in matters involving complex business litigation, including contract disputes, employment litigation, professional liability disputes, real estate litigation, real estate broker and recruiter commission disputes, insurance broker disputes, partnership disputes, banking litigation, elder law litigation, fraudulent transfers, construction defect or payment disputes, and business torts. A member of the Firm's Business Litigation Group, Mr. Garnett assists clients with trials and appeals. He handles complex cases in state and federal courts, as well as arbitration forums.

Mr. Garnett previously served as a judicial extern for Special Masters Gary J. Golkiewicz and George L. Hastings of the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, Office of Special Masters in Washington, D.C.

  • Defeated summary judgment in lawsuit involving the Uniform Commercial Code and obtained confidential settlement on the eve of trial.

  • Recovered $175,000 settlement in a commission dispute involving recruiting fees.

  • Obtained settlement for an investor in a lawsuit against insurance broker for breach of fiduciary duty.

  • Obtained settlement for subcontractor in a lawsuit against the general contractor involving a claim against payment bond.

  • Obtained a settlement for an investor in lawsuit against his partner for breach of contract.

  • Obtained settlement for manufacturer against engineering firm in professional negligence action arising from defects in components manufactured specially for client.

  • Helped secure reversal of a judgment in a derivative action involving a $62 million business.

  • Obtained a judgment for investor against business developers for breach of contract.

  • Obtained a judgment against securities broker business for treble damages for civil theft.

  • Obtained a confidential settlement for investors who were the victims of a bait-and-switch scheme involving the sale of precious metals.

  • Helped obtain a multi-million-dollar confidential settlement for a group of investors for misrepresentations that induced their investment.
