(Memphis, TN/March 17, 2011) Jonathan C. Hancock of Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, PC, has been elected 2011 Board Vice President of Memphis Area Legal Services, Inc. (MALS).
Mr. Hancock, a shareholder in the Firm's Memphis office, represents employers and management clients regarding all aspects of employment law, including litigation in state and federal courts. He also represents clients in complex litigation matters, including class actions, federal compliance actions, municipal and governmental defense cases, and other civil litigation matters. Recognized by Mid-South Super Lawyers as a "Rising Star" in Labor and Employment since 2008, Mr. Hancock is a frequent speaker and author on employment and civil litigation topics. He is Legislative Chair and Legislative Director for both the Memphis and Tennessee chapters of the Society for Human Resource Management. Mr. Hancock has served as a member of the MALS Board since 2009.
