Professional Biography


Michael Catalano is a highly skilled technology attorney. He is experienced in strategic acquisitions, negotiating software licensing and subscription agreements, and negotiating and managing outsourcing transactions with cross-border technology partners.

Mr. Catalano was general counsel and privacy officer at a software company where he focused on transactions, including the acquisition of a digital marketing company, negotiating license and SaaS agreements with customers, strategic initiatives, and corporate compliance. His in-house experience also includes chief operating officer, corporate secretary, and general counsel for a Nashville, Tennessee-based privately funded health care development company; vice president of finance for the largest gaming entertainment company in the U.S.; and senior development counsel for one of the largest U.S. public pharmacy benefits management companies. Mr. Catalano has also served on various boards, including the Bill L. Harbert Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship and a private equity-backed renewable chemical company, along with various non-profit boards.
