Kent A. Lambert Named Managing Shareholder of Baker Donelson's New Orleans and Mandeville Offices

Kent A. Lambert has been named managing shareholder for the New Orleans and Mandeville offices of Baker Donelson. Mr. Lambert assumes the role previously held by Nancy Scott Degan, who will return to her full-time litigation practice.

"Nancy has provided tremendous leadership during her time as managing shareholder, helping our offices grow and thrive over the past five years," said Mr. Lambert. "Her passion for the law and for this firm have been inspiring and I am honored to further the culture of leadership and client service she helped to cultivate."

While serving as Office Managing Shareholder, Mr. Lambert will maintain his legal practice, focused on defending national and international companies in high-stakes, bet-the-company litigation. Over the past 25 years, he has led several bet-the-company litigation matters, defending his clients against intentional and non-intentional business torts, contract actions, fiduciary litigation, franchise matters, property and leasehold disputes, and civil RICO actions. Mr. Lambert previously led Baker Donelson's Business Litigation Group, serving as co-chair in 2019 and chair from 2014 to 2018. This is one of the Firm's largest groups, encompassing more than 100 attorneys across 21 offices in ten states and Washington, D.C.

A graduate of Tulane University School of Law, Mr. Lambert is an active member of the American Bar Association's Section of Litigation and has led numerous committees within that section. His litigation practice has been recognized by Chambers USA since 2010 and in The Best Lawyers in America© and Louisiana Super Lawyers since 2013. Mr. Lambert is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation and a member of the Louisiana State Bar and U.S. Fifth Circuit Court Bar Associations, as well as the bar associations for the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Louisiana.
