For the last year, the proposed changes to overtime law (an almost doubling of the salary threshold required for exemption) had employers scrambling to analyze their workforce and determine how to comply with the new regulations. Although the fate of the proposed overtime changes are still undetermined and appear unlikely, the analysis it engendered has proven to be a useful and educational exercise for employers. This webinar discusses the lessons we've learned, including what factors we really need to be looking at to determine exemption, proper calculation of overtime (including how bonuses or commissions factor into the rate), outside versus inside sales exemption, timekeeping requirements and options, overtime policies and a whole lot more.
