October 29, 2020
2:00 PM - 3:00 PM Central

In this session, we will discuss steps businesses should consider to make their premises and technology accessible to their customers and employees who may be living with a disability or other impairment in the wake of the pandemic.

The ADA prohibits discrimination against people with disabilities and requires accessibility in places of public accommodation. Ultimately, if your business is open to the public and you have customers on your premises or using a mobile application/website to purchase products, your business may be considered a place of public accommodation that must comply with Title III of the ADA. Join us to discuss businesses' obligations under Title III, website and mobile application accessibility requirements under Title III, steps to mitigate exposure, and best practices for handling a customer's or employee's accommodation request given the pandemic.
