On April 1, 2011, the Small Business Administration authorized federal agencies for the first time to reserve certain contract awards for Women-Owned Small Businesses (WOSB). This new program puts women-owned businesses in a unique position to take advantage of the government’s 5% federal contracting goal — equal to roughly $27 billion of the federal government’s total $536 billion spend on government contracting.

Join Baker Donelson to learn more about this initiative, and about contracting with the government as a small business. The discussion topics will include:

  • The basics of contracting with the federal government as a small business
  • Special advantages for women-owned businesses
  • How to get started in government contracting
  • How to expand government opportunities for existing federal contractors
