Lewis Donelson is quoted in this Memphis Business Journal profile of Bruce Steinhauer, Lifetime Achievement Award winner at the MBJ's Health Care Heroes awards. Mr. Donelson, former chairman of the board for the Regional Medical Center of Memphis, was instrumental in finding and convincing Dr. Steinhauer to come to Memphis to serve as CEO at The Med, a position he held from 1998 to 2006.
"Our search firm found him up in Boston when he was thinking about retiring," Mr. Donelson says, "I told him he couldn't do that; I told him about the challenges we had here and we got him to come to Memphis, where he did an outstanding job."
