Share

(Memphis, TN/May 21, 2008) Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, PC has been ranked among the top 10 labor and employment litigation firms in the country by Martindale-Hubbell, a global directory of legal services providers.

The Martindale-Hubbell list highlights the top 10 law firms according to the total number of labor and employment cases in which each firm has represented clients in U.S. Federal District Court during the past two years. Baker Donelson was ranked tenth on the list, among some of the largest firms in the country that focus exclusively on labor and employment law.

"Baker Donelson continues to be recognized among the top labor and employment practices in the country because of the strength of experience our attorneys have in representing our clients in a variety of workplace matters," said Steven H. Trent, head of the Firm's Labor & Employment Department. "Our objective is to maintain our focus on striving to understand our clients' businesses, people and goals, and working proactively to help them meet or exceed those goals."

With more than 70 attorneys focused on this area of law, Baker Donelson's labor and employment practice is significantly larger than that of many boutique firms whose sole focus is labor and employment law. The Firm represents clients in all types of labor and employment matters including litigation, as well as litigation avoidance through ensuring compliance with employment-related laws and regulations and extensive training programs for client supervisors and managers. Clients include local, regional and national companies from a variety of industries such as manufacturing, health care, financial services, transportation and communications. The Firm's Labor and Employment group has also been ranked as one of the top ten employment litigation firms in the nation by Employment Law 360.
