Ms. Cormier represents clients throughout state and federal courts in Louisiana in commercial litigation and insurance defense. She regularly handles matters involving contract disputes, insurance coverage disputes, premises liability, personal injury, and commercial, business, and property litigation. Her litigation background includes assisting clients in the appeals process by drafting appellate briefs and she is admitted to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. In addition to her litigation work, Ms. Cormier has experience in alternative dispute resolutions such as mediations.
Prior to joining Baker Donelson, Ms. Cormier practiced civil litigation and insurance defense at a regional firm where she gained experience in handling disputes and litigation in a broad range of areas. While in law school, Ms. Cormier interned for the Honorable June Berry Darensburg of the 24th Judicial District Court and externed for the Honorable Jay C. Zainey of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana.
