To compile its fifth annual listing, Georgia Trend mailed ballots to a sampling of lawyers who are members of the state bar and whose practice areas correspond to those highlighted in the listing. Any attorney who is a member of the state bar and practices in Georgia was eligible to participate in the voting and to be voted onto the "Legal Elite" list. The listing is strictly an editorial project, determined by lawyers' votes; places on the list are not for sale.
