2017 Law Day – The Fourteenth Amendment: Transforming American Democracy

Baker Donelson and Linda Klein, President of the American Bar Association and Baker Donelson Senior Managing Shareholder, invite you to participate in a complimentary webinar to commemorate the 2017 Law Day. Law Day is held every year to highlight our nation's commitment to the rule of law.

The 2017 Law Day theme is "The Fourteenth Amendment: Transforming American Democracy." In the 150 years since it was ratified, the Fourteenth Amendment has served as the basis of historic civil rights legislation and landmark U.S. Supreme Court decisions advancing our national principles of freedom and justice for all. During this program, the speakers will discuss significant SCOTUS decisions based on the constitutional protections through the Fourteenth Amendment's guarantees of due process and equal protection of the law for all individuals. They will also review steps individuals can take to uphold the Fourteenth Amendment and the resources available to assist you in these efforts.

Presented by:
Linda A. Klein, President of the ABA and Baker Donelson Senior Managing Shareholder
