Samuel L. Felker Named Managing Shareholder of Baker Donelson's Fort Lauderdale Law Office

Samuel L. Felker has been named managing shareholder for the Fort Lauderdale law office of Baker Donelson, which has maintained a downtown office since 2013. "I am very excited about this opportunity to lead Baker Donelson's office in the highly competitive South Florida legal market," said Mr. Felker. "We plan to expand our presence here by recruiting talented lawyers in a variety of practice areas including litigation, transactional and regulatory work." Baker Donelson's Fort Lauderdale office currently serves clients in a variety of specialties including commercial litigation, financial services litigation and compliance, insurance, transportation, products liability, health care, cybersecurity and maritime/admiralty matters.

Mr. Felker, who has practiced in Baker Donelson's Nashville office for five years, has been a part-time Fort Lauderdale resident for many years and will now focus his practice in Florida. While serving as office managing shareholder, Mr. Felker will continue his legal practice which is concentrated in litigation, both commercial and products liability. During the course of his career, he has successfully represented clients in significant litigation involving products liability, transportation, insurance, food safety, toxic torts, medical malpractice and commercial matters, including the trial of cases throughout the United States.

Mr. Felker has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America® since 2007 and previously served as co-chair of the American Bar Association's Products Liability Committee. Mr. Felker is a member of the Defense Research Institute, as well as the Nashville, Tennessee and Broward County Bar Associations.
