Federal laws regulating employee leave are complex and sometimes seem contradictory. In this presentation, we will discuss the interplay between the FMLA and the ADA, as well as leave (both continuous and intermittent) as a reasonable accommodation under the ADA. We will also discuss a few specific, complicated problems that employers face when responding to FMLA and ADA-related requests.
