Join Baker Donelson attorney Danielle Aymond for the webinar "The Disaster Recovery Reform Act of 2018: What Legal Aid Providers Should Know" on Wednesday, April 10.

On October 5, 2018, the Disaster Recovery Reform Act of 2018 was signed into law. The Act contains more than 50 provisions that amend the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act by requiring FEMA to change its policies and regulations. The goal of this webinar is to provide participants with an overview of changes to the Stafford Act that affect their representation of disaster survivors.

Ms. Aymond will be joined by Tracy Figueroa, disaster assistance group coordinator for Texas RioGrande Legal Aid. They will cover changes related to housing, rental assistance, recoupments, duplication of benefits, and Community Development Block Grants. Ms. Aymond and Ms. Figueroa will also share best practices and answer questions from participants.

Disaster legal aid practitioners and pro bono professionals from legal service organizations, bar associations, corporations, and legal service providers, as well as attorneys interested in participating in rapid response efforts, now or in the future, are encouraged to attend.

This webinar is co-hosted by Pro Bono Net and Lone Star Legal Aid. Registrants will receive a link to the recording and materials after the webinar.
