Copyright Protection for Product Design Features: What's the Game Plan After the Supreme Court Opinion in Star Athletica?

ABA Intellectual Property Litigation Roundtable Series
May 22, 2018
12:00 PM - 1:00 PM Eastern

Location:

Baker Donelson
100 Light Street
Baltimore, Maryland

Date/Time:

May 22, 2018
12:00 PM - 1:00 PM Eastern

Please join Cynthia Blake Sanders, E. Scott Johnson, and Royal W. Craig of Baker Donelson, as well as other professionals, for a discussion on the new separability test.

Last fall, the U.S. Supreme Court formulated a new test for conceptual separability based upon its own reading of the U.S. Copyright Act instead of adopting previous tests developed by the lower courts. Join us to explore and compare the old conceptual separability tests and sort through a series of useful objects bearing applied art features to determine if copyright protection attaches.

*All visitors are required to show a valid photo identification at the Lobby Security Desk.

RSVP to attend by Friday, May 18.
