In a Q&A from the National Law Journal's Southern Law Report, Atlanta office managing shareholder Linda Klein offers her perspective on how Atlanta's legal sector has weathered the recession and what challenges still remain. "We have 70 percent of lawyers [in Georgia] in the metro Atlanta area, and 70 percent of poverty is outside metro Atlanta. We've got a problem. We have all our lawyers in Atlanta and all the pro bono need outside of Atlanta," says Ms. Klein. "We can't get lawyers to the places where they're needed. Layer on top of that the problem we have with all these young lawyers being underemployed."
