Kent A. Lambert Named Vice Chair of Baker Donelson's Business Litigation Group

(New Orleans, LA / October 29, 2012)  The law firm of Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, PC, has named Kent A. Lambert Vice Chair of the Firm's Business Litigation group.

Mr. Lambert, a shareholder in Baker Donelson's New Orleans office, concentrates his practice in the area of commercial litigation, with an emphasis on civil trial work and complex litigation, complemented by an active civil appellate practice.  He has been listed in Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business as a leading litigation attorney in Louisiana since 2010.  He is a member of the American Bar Association's (ABA) Section of Litigation and serves as chair of the section's Trial Evidence Committee. Mr. Lambert also serves as chair of Baker Donelson's e-Discovery and Information Management group.

As Vice Chair of the Firm's Business Litigation group, Mr. Lambert will assist in the oversight of the nearly 100 business litigators across Baker Donelson's 18 offices.

Nancy Scott Degan, Chair of the Firm's Business Litigation group, noted that the need for additional leadership for the group was prompted by the Firm's recent growth and her impending role as Chair of the ABA Section of Litigation, the ABA's largest specialty section.

"Given the Firm's expansion into Florida and Texas in the last year and the time commitment that my role as ABA leadership will require, we felt it was time to bring additional leadership to the Business Litigation group," said Ms. Degan, who will begin her one-year term as the Chair of the ABA Section of Litigation upon conclusion of the 2014 ABA Annual Meeting. "Kent is an exceptional attorney and his outstanding leadership abilities will be invaluable to the practice group and the Firm."
