Mr. Willis is an associate in the Firm's Birmingham office and a member of the Real Estate Group. He assists clients at every stage of real estate transactions, including reviewing property condition, surveys, and title; ironing out complex property issues; and drafting and negotiating contract documents, such as purchase agreements, easements, and both commercial and residential leases. Mr. Willis also collaborates with the Financial Services Team on multi-state portfolio transactions and multi-site credit facilities secured by various long-term care facilities.
Prior to joining Baker Donelson, Mr. Willis worked in the corporate group of an international law firm where he drafted transaction agreements for energy, tech, and banking clients.
A native of West Virginia coal country, Mr. Willis is a former congressional speechwriter for West Virginia Representative Evan Jenkins and West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin.
