The Memphis Business Journal has named three Baker Donelson attorneys among its 2018 Best of the Bar, the publication's annual awards honoring the Mid-South's top legal professionals.
- Baker Donelson co-founder Lewis R. Donelson III was recognized with the Best of the Bar Lifetime Achievement Award. Mr. Donelson was honored for his significant impact and involvement in the legal profession, politics and civics.
- George T. "Buck" Lewis was recognized with the Best of the Bar Award in the Private Firm – Extra Large category. Mr. Lewis, who is a former president of the Tennessee Bar Association and current chair of the American Bar Association Standing Committee on Pro Bono and Public Service, was honored for his leadership in the legal profession and efforts to ensure access to legal services.
- Bruce A. McMullen was recognized with the Best of the Bar Award in the Public Service category. Mr. McMullen, a shareholder in Baker Donelson's Memphis office, was honored for his role as chief legal officer and city attorney for the City of Memphis in overseeing the removal of Confederate statues in Memphis.
