Professional Biography


Sabrina Marquez is an associate in Baker Donelson's Baltimore office and a member of the Advocacy Department. Ms. Marquez's experience includes defending both corporations and individuals in government investigations, enforcement actions, and class action lawsuits.

While attending law school, Ms. Marquez practiced as a student attorney in the Mental Health Law Clinic of the University of Baltimore Law School where she represented clients in involuntary commitment hearings at Sheppard Pratt psychiatric hospital in Baltimore.

Before joining Baker Donelson, Ms. Marquez served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Douglas R. M. Nazarian in the Court of Special Appeals of Maryland.

  • Assisted in the defense of a major domestic automotive manufacturer in a putative class action in the Central District of California involving allegations of defective exhaust manifolds in best-selling trucks. Participated in drafting the motion to dismiss, which was granted in its entirety.

  • Assisted in the defense of a major domestic automotive manufacturer in a putative class action in the Eastern District of Michigan involving allegations of defective shifter bushings in a series of vehicles. Participated in drafting the motion to dismiss, which was granted in its entirety on prudential mootness grounds.

  • Assisted in the defense of skilled nursing facilities in connection with False Claims Act investigations led by the Department of Justice in the Western District of Kentucky.

  • Assisted in the defense of municipalities concerning constitutional claims including 42 U.S.C. 1983 actions.
